I would advise to keep aside patnitop and put a day more for gulmarg. It was a truely beautiful place. Also there is a beautiful place in kupwara district in J&K which I did not visit but it was told by everyone that it is one of the most beautiful place in Kashmir untouched by many tourists.

Also I have been there in both summers and winters and I would recommend winters as it truely feels like heaven at that time. Summers are not so appealing or it wasnt so appealing to me. Also the rates are lower in winters for hotels and poly wallahs etc so you can do it more economically.
